We're proud to present the latest in our Closed Sessions track featuring none other than DJ Babu of Dilated Peoples and The Beat Junkies. Flipping the script, DJ Babu made the producer the focus of this Closed Session and rather than an emcee going through the Closed Sessions production catalog, it was Babu who paged through our Rolodex of talented Chicago artists for which to collaborate.

Closed Sessions Vol. 1 features 9 original songs created on the spot at Chicago's SoundScape studios.  The songs were created by some of Hip Hop's top artists, who were given free reign and access to the Closed Sessions catalog of production.  RubyHornet documented each process giving fans a unique look into the recording habits of their favorite artists.  Volume 1 features Bun B, Curren$y, Tanya Morgan, Amanda Diva, Kidz In The Hall, and many more. Closed Sessions took Austin, Texas by storm. We set up a full recording studio with help from Solid State Logic and Music Dealers and recorded 11 new songs over the course of 3 days! Sessions were running around the clock with artists such as Freddie Gibbs, GLC, Kidz In The Hall, Rakaa Iriscience, 6th Sense, Fashawn, and many more. check out the trailer here
