Everything Must Go! (Rarities, B-Sides, and Remixes)
Everything Must Go! brings you back to the heart of the blog era - a brief moment in time when music fans around the world reshaped music business and culture to fantastic results. It was a wild wild west where the gatekeepers were asleep, and forward-thinking fans, artists, and music heads changed the locks.
Everything Must Go! showcases songs we previously released on z-share, soundcloud, direct download on ruby hornet, and other deadlink platforms. Many of these songs were intended to be on Closed Sessions Vol. 3, which got sidetracked as we were offered a deal with Ingrooves and transitioned into a more formal record label and then never fully materialized.
Most of these records sat on a hard drive collecting dust for years as the documentaries showcasing their creation were scattered across the internet. They also played randomly in my head or occasionally showed up on shuffle, bringing a smile to my face whenever something like ruff_CSvol3_currensy.mp3 flashed across the screen.
Everything Must Go! aims to serve as a snapshot of indie hip hop in the 2010’s, and our small piece of that universe - a piece that was home to an incredible mix of talent and personalities. Everything Must Go! also shows the formation of our label, and the spark to everything since. It includes songs with blog-era mainstays such as Action Bronson, Curren$y, Dom Kennedy, Alex Wiley, Vic Mensa, Lil’ Durk, Kweku Collins, and even Wyclef Jean.
