MANSA - LOVE, AMONGST OTHER THINGS

Recently, rap journalist, Jeremy Hecht, featured Mansa's song "BUSINESS" on his live stream. Totally unfamiliar with the band ahead of time, Hecht hit play and immediately started bobbing his head. As the song's intro hit its apex and switched course into smooth vocals from Mansa frontman and human pocketknife of a musician, Lonzo Sanders, Hecht scrunched his face as much as it could scrunch before stopping the tape and declaring, "hold up. What is happening? What is going on? This is different! This is unique. I don't think I've ever heard anything like this!" 

That's the same reaction I got when I heard MANSA's debut EP, Love, Amongst Other Things, out today. It is refreshing. It is new. And I am excited to play a part in sharing it with the world. This is the ground floor. This is that magical moment when you find a band ahead of everyone else and just know these guys have something.
