Closed Sessions Vol. 2 is a collection of recordings done between the spring of 2010 and summer of 2012. The album features rising stars of the time like Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, Blu, Vic Mensa, Sir Michael Rocks, and CyHi The Prynce as well as luminaries such as Raekwon The Chef, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, and DJ Babu. Each session took place at SoundScape Studios and served as the culmination of a weekend experience in which the artists visited Chicago neighborhoods, dined at some of Chicago’s best restaurants, hit streetwear stores, and played a set at RubyHornet’s famed Digital Freshness. The full experience was documented and released as 5 minute vignettes on MTV2’s Sucker Free show. This album encapsulates a time and space in music history. The height blog era in one of the blog era’s most productive music cities.

This album is available on vinyl for the first time ever. It is the perfect accompaniment to Closed Sessions Vol. 1, and comes on “relish green” vinyl. Limited to 500 copies.
